Spiritual Long Hair
![]() Why do Wise Men and Women, Shamans, Gurus, Native Americans,
Neanderthals, Celts, Vikings, Gaels,
Picts, Scythians and Merovingians all have long or had long hair?
Hair acts as antenna for the nervous system, it receives information to the neocortex, brain stem and limbic system. With longer hair, the antennae work better. To make full use of their intuition and allow them to sense danger, weather changes etc, our ancestors would stand up on a mountain, long hair blowing about freely in the wind, picking up signals. Red hair has more iron in than any other colour, meaning it is even better at picking up signals. The story of Samson and him losing his power, again all relating to this. Also Witches would have their hair shaved off, as it was thought to contain their power. In the dark ages a punishment was often to have your hair shaved. Hair stores our learnt behaviours, and this is something we instinctively know. This is why women who come out of a relationship often cut off their hair. It is like a new start. They can then start to build new behaviours. When joining the Army it is the custom to shave off the hair of the new recruit. This is important before any training, as it removes learnt behaviours from the consciousness and creates a fresh clean slate to work on. In the past when they were going through Holy Orders at their Ordination to the Order of Cleric they were tonsured - the top of their head shaved, the rest was left round the sides to catch the oil from running down their neck and faces. The special oil containing psilocybin was put on the freshly shaved skin, were the oil would seep inside the cuts, and a skullcap placed on top. Giving the Cleric a direct connection to 'God', well they sure would have a strange experience. When you start on a your spiritual journey it is a good time to cut your hair off. Then keep it long, apart from trimming the ends to keep it healthy, and notice how your dreams, intuition and senses grow with you. ..
